I attempted to play a few instruments as a young – the clarinet, woodwind, and drums. I just couldn’t make it happen. Thinking back now, I surmise I didn’t give it sufficient opportunity to learn. The walking band generally had a little club and I assume I furtively consistently needed to be a piece of it. That is the reason I would sit close to them in the seats. I needed to be a piece of their enthusiasm and school soul.
