In the incident that happened on Saturday night at 10.30 pm ET, 2 more students also got injured. This news was confirmed by the university president Jim Ryan and campus police who were doing their duty. The victims of the incident are all juniors and members of the UVA football team , Their body was found dead on the scene. The victims are Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis. The UVA shooting suspect had been arrested by the police and the campus of the University of Virginia had been locked down.

Christopher Darnell jones who is the prime suspect now charged with 3 counts of second-degree murder as per UVA police Chief Timothy Longo stated on Media.

While the incident happen, it was reported that students and the staff took shelter in a safe place for almost 12 hours. Ryan expressed on media, that it was really a very bad incident and breaking news in the USA. This morning the entire community of the university observed condolence. The classes and extracurricular activities were canceled on Monday.

Now the university has canceled the CLasses and extra curriculum activities and public transportation routes to the campus had also been suspended temporarily. It has also been reported that other public schools located nearby Albermarle county had been closed for the whole day
